Bio: Cristiana Dell'Erba
I am Cristiana Dell’Erba, a PhD candidate in the national Learning Sciences and Digital Technologies
program at the University of Verona in Italy. I graduated with a master’s degree in primary teaching and
worked in kindergarten and primary schools for three years.
Now, my curriculum, New Literacies and Digital Citizenship, aims to investigate the relationships between technologies and social contexts in educational processes with a humanistic and interdisciplinary focus on ethics, citizenship, and digital skills.
I am doing it by understanding how students use AI in their daily lives and then designing and implementing specific activities to promote a critical use of it within the AI Competency Framework for Students (UNESCO, 2024). The project is parallelly carried out in the Netherlands and Italy to draft contextual guidelines and discover best practices. Since November, I have joined ISiS, and the students of the Faculty of Science have filled in surveys and participated in an interview. Today, Dutch preliminary results are ready to be taken out of the oven.
